Paul is stronger, taller and perhaps heavier. Or maybe I’m heavier. Anyway, when Paul really leaned in (in another video) he felt like a wall.
I would be lying if I say I can easily uproot and throw him back. And if I am slightly slower to react I would be pushed back against a wall (if there is a wall nearby) doubly quick.
But all is not fair in love and war. Everything is fair game.
This technique is simple, sudden and offers good return for the amount of strength used. It works on the principle of revolving door. You just need to relax when pushed and let your body rotate to swing the palm slap out.
The slapping noise was due to the strike hitting Paul’s inner thigh rather than against his groin. The thud will give you an idea of what it would feel like if contact to the groin had been made. If I ever teach self defense techniques this would be at the top of my list.
