Is it better to practice a move a thousand times over two hours or a form of many moves over two hours?
I suspect most readers would go with 1,000 times over 2 hours. Its not difficult to understand why.
If you practice the same movement 1,000 times over 2 hours you should go a long way towards mastering it in a shorter period of time as compared to doing a form of 85 moves over the same time frame, right?
Let me offer a counter-intuitive answer – the answer is that doing the same movement 1,000 times over 2 hours will not necessarily enable you to master a skill faster or better. Why?
Take a minute and think it over. See if you can figure it out.
